Eco Plough

Description

Kverneland eco ploughs are designed for reduced-depth cultivation and one-pass systems, inverting a shallow layer of soil to bury crop residues while leaving subsoil structure undisturbed. Two models are available — the ECOMAT for 5–8 furrows with auto-reset and Variomat, and the ECOMAT ON-LAND for 8–10 furrows with shearbolt protection and stepwise width adjustment.

Working at depths of 10–15cm, eco ploughs use a shallower approach angle and a specially designed body profile to achieve reliable sod burial with lower power consumption compared to conventional inversion ploughing. This makes them an effective tool for minimum tillage systems that still require sod burial for weed and residue management, without the full energy cost of deeper ploughing.

The ECOMAT ON-LAND model is designed for on-land operation, eliminating furrow wheel running and allowing the tractor to travel on unploughed ground throughout the headland — reducing compaction in the tractor wheelings.
