Kverneland conventional ploughs cover mounted configurations from 2 to 5 furrows, designed for reliable soil inversion on all soil types. Two models are available — the AB for lighter soils at 2–4 furrows, and the AD for any soil type at 3–5 furrows — both with auto-reset protection and Variomat furrow width adjustment as standard equipment.
Built on Kverneland’s proprietary Steel Technology, each plough body uses specially developed steel alloys that work-harden during use to develop a surface hardness of up to 900 HB — significantly reducing wear rates compared to standard steel and dramatically lowering the total cost of ownership over the working life of the plough. The Kverneland KM and KC body profiles are optimised for clean sward burial and efficient soil flow in a wide range of soil conditions.
The Variomat stepless furrow width adjustment system allows the operator to change furrow widths from the tractor seat to match varying soil conditions and power requirements across the field without stopping. Kverneland conventional ploughs have been manufactured at Klepp, Norway since 1879 and are supported by an extensive dealer and parts network across Ireland and the UK.
