Kverneland’s Optima pneumatic precision drill range is the company’s flagship offering for maize, sunflower, soybean, and other row crops requiring precise individual seed placement. The range spans from the Optima R (rigid, 3–6m) and Optima RS (rigid, 6.1–9.3m) through the Optima V (variable telescopic, 6–8 rows) and Optima F (folding, 6m) to the large-capacity trailed TFprofi and TFmaxi for the highest-output contractor operations at up to 12m working width.

A key differentiator across the Optima range is the SX (SpeedExtension) high-speed sowing unit, enabling precision drilling at speeds up to 15km/h — approximately double the speed of conventional precision drills — without sacrificing placement accuracy or germination performance. ISOBUS Section Control and Task Controller compatibility is available across the range for integration with farm management and variable-rate application systems.

The Optima TFmaxi is Kverneland’s largest precision drill, with a 12m working width and 16 sowing units designed for large arable contractors where output and flexibility are paramount. All Optima models use air-separation seed metering for consistent single-seed placement across all crop types and sizes, and are backed by Kverneland’s full service and parts network across Ireland and the UK.
