Description

Kverneland’s u-drill range integrates a disc cultivator with a pneumatic seed drill in a single unit, enabling one-pass seedbed preparation and drilling from previously ploughed or tilled ground. Models are available in 3.0m and 4.0m rigid configurations, 4.0m and 6.0m folding versions, and ‘plus’ variants that add a separate fertiliser hopper for combined seeding and fertilisation in one pass.

The disc cultivation section creates a fine and even seedbed immediately in front of the coulters, ensuring optimal seed-to-soil contact regardless of the condition of the incoming cultivated ground. The disc arrangement handles both ploughed ground and crop residues efficiently, making the u-drill a flexible tool for a range of tillage strategies from conventional to minimal cultivation systems.

The u-drill plus versions allow seed and granular fertiliser to be applied simultaneously in separate rows, improving early crop nutrition without requiring a separate fertiliser pass. Kverneland’s electronic metering system maintains accuracy across both seed and fertiliser hoppers at any forward speed.
