Description

Kverneland multi-crop mergers are designed for combining two or more swaths of wet, short grass into a single large windrow without running the tractor wheels over the crop or causing contamination. Mergers operate by picking up swaths with finger wheels and conveying material sideways onto a growing windrow, producing a dense, well-structured feed for high-output forage harvesting.

Multi-crop mergers are particularly effective in high-yielding silage systems where swath volume is too great for a single raking pass and where maintaining crop cleanliness and fermentation quality is a priority. By avoiding tractor wheel contamination of the swath, mergers produce cleaner, more consistent silage compared to repeated raking operations — resulting in better fermentation and higher dry matter retention in the clamp.

Kverneland multi-crop mergers are backed by Kverneland’s comprehensive parts and service network across Ireland and the UK, and form part of the company’s complete grassland equipment programme covering cutting, conditioning, tedding, raking, merging, and baling.
