Dry Crop Mergers

Available to OrderDescription
Kverneland dry crop mergers are designed specifically for combining swaths of dry hay, straw, and other brittle forage crops without causing the leaf loss and crop damage that conventional raking can produce in dry conditions. By gently gathering and conveying material sideways rather than pushing or throwing it, mergers preserve leaf attachment and maintain the quality and feed value of the dried crop.
Dry crop mergers are particularly valuable in hay production on hilly or exposed ground where achieving full dry-down while minimising raking damage is difficult. Operating at low speeds with a gentle conveying action, the merger minimises mechanical impact on the crop and produces a clean, well-formed windrow suitable for baling with conventional round or square balers without a further raking pass.
Kverneland dry crop mergers complement the company’s broad grassland equipment programme, providing farmers with a complete system of matched, compatible machinery for all stages of hay and haylage production. All models are backed by Kverneland’s full parts and service support across Ireland and the UK.
