Major Equipment’s trailing shoe slurry applicators deliver the highest level of low-emission slurry application currently available to most farms, placing slurry directly into the grass sward rather than onto the surface — significantly reducing ammonia emissions, surface run-off, and odour compared to splash plate or dribble bar methods.

The trailing shoe range is available in multiple working widths and is designed for use with Major and third-party slurry tankers as well as umbilical hose reel systems. Each shoe runs in individual ground contact, following field contours to maintain consistent sward penetration and even slurry distribution across the full working width.

All Major trailing shoe systems are built for durability in heavy-duty daily use, with robust pivot systems, quick-replace shoe components, and a precision macerator to protect the system from blockages.
