Kverneland’s flail chopper range is one of the most extensive programmes available, covering applications from amenity grass management to heavy pasture and stubble chopping. The range includes the FML (specialist green areas), FHS (up to 80hp, light duty), FHP (multi-purpose), FHPplus (side-pivoting multi-purpose), FRO, FRH, and FRD models for versatile grassland and set-aside work, and the heavier-duty FXE, FXN, FXZ, and FXF rotor choppers for intensive professional mulching applications.

The FX Series rotor choppers use a high-speed rotor carrying free-swing hammers or blades in place of the flail system used on FH/FR models, producing finer chopping in heavier material and across a wider range of crop types — including maize stubble, hedgerow cuttings, and heavy grass swards. The FXZ and FXF in particular are designed for the most demanding professional mulching applications where consistent, fine output is required at high throughput rates.
